There are three elements to our fees:
1. The supply of the photographic material
2. Licensing or ‘usage’ fee for the right to reproduce the image
3. Delivery fees
Photographic Material
To ensure the highest quality reproductions permission will only be granted for reproductions using photographic material supplied by the Gallery – permission will not be granted for images sourced from elsewhere.
Our colour digital files are photographed in-house and colour corrected against the original
works of art to ensure colour accuracy. A colour printer’s proof will accompany the photographic
material.
Conditions of reproduction
Images may not be cropped, overprinted or distorted in any way without further permission being sought from the Gallery.
Images must be accompanied by the full caption as supplied to acknowledge the artist in
accordance with the Moral Rights legislation.
Applications for use on covers, details or merchandise will require a mockup of the proposed
design before approval is granted.
Before publication a proof must be supplied to the Gallery for approval.
Images to be published electronically must be at a resolution unsuitable for reproduction –
72dpi @ 600 pixels.
Failure to meet these conditions may result in permission being refused.
Requests which are deemed inappropriate or unacceptable to either the Gallery or the artist
may be refused permission.
A complimentary copy of the publication or product must be supplied to the Gallery.

Copyright
Many works held in our Collection are still in copyright and it is the responsibility of the client to gain written permission from the copyright holder. A copy of this permission must be forwarded to the Gallery before the photographic material is released. The Gallery will supply contact details for the copyright holder if known.
Delivery
Delivery is via Australia Post unless prior arrangements have been made at the client’s expense.
Delivery times vary however please allow 4 weeks from receipt of payment or longer if new
photography is required. Where possible we will try and advise an approximate due date.
Please allow enough time in your publishing schedule to allow for new photography, approval
of the printer's proof and copyright clearance if required.
Urgent requests may incur an additional fee.
Payment
Payment can be made by credit card, cheque or money order, or by EFT.
Procedure to order an image:
1. Download
Application for photographic material for publication
2. Complete and return the Application to the Publications Officer: Image Sales & Rights.
3. An email or letter confirming receipt of your application will be sent along with an invoice and the copyright status of the work and contact details for the copyright holder if known.
4. If you do not proceed with the order - please advise in writing and the invoice will be cancelled.
5. If you proceed with the order - upon receipt of full payment and written confirmation of copyright approval (if required) the photographic material, printers proof and caption details will be supplied on CD.
