The Art Gallery of South Australia’s popular program for children and families, START at the Gallery, hits the road this month heading southeast as part of the South Australian Living Artists Festival.  Designed to inspire creativity and curiosity in the youngest of art lovers, START workshops will be held in Mount Gambier providing free art-making and art experiences inspired by the collaborative work of art Kulila as part of the forthcoming TARNANTHI Festival of Contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art.

OUTREACH: Educators CONNECT on the road

Educators can immerse themselves in art making and networking with colleagues at Educators CONNECT, the Mt Gambier edition. This event will provide educators in the region with an opportunity to connect with the Gallery and its content. Join the education team for professional development aimed at engaging students with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander content using the collaborative work of art Kulila as inspiration. There will be an opportunity for a ‘making and responding’ session as well as resources to take away and implement in the classroom. Certificates of attendance will be provided.
