GUILDHOUSE COLLECTIONS PROJECT
Now showing until 10 January 2016
Dutch born, Adelaide-based artist Maarten Daudeij is the fourth artist to participate in The Collections Project , a collaboration with Guildhouse that invites South Australian artists to respond to the Gallery's collection.
Daudeij is taken by the sense of space and silence in Australia, and his current
project at the Gallery interrogates these ideas through the collection. Wishing to explore the
'spaces between' the works of art Daudeij uses media including but not limited to sound,
performance, photography installation to render his conceptual processes and explore art,
environments and interactions.
Experience Maarten Daudeij’s sound intervention, House of the Wind: Monument in Honour of its Absence, at selected ottomans in Gallery 3 of the Elder Wing of Australian Art.
